Mississauga has about 718,000 residents (2021 Census). Many work shifts at Toronto Pearson, in logistics along Highway 401, or in the city’s corporate offices. Mississauga residents apply online with Ontario-licensed lenders and receive funds by Interac e-Transfer.

A Mississauga examplePriya works rotating shifts near Pearson and is paid $1,300 every second Friday. Her car needs a $420 brake job before her next shift block. She borrows $450, pays at most $63 in borrowing costs, and $513 is debited on payday. Because her schedule changes, she confirms the due date matches her actual pay date.

Mississauga borrowers are covered by Ontario’s payday loan rules: at most $14 per $100, half your net pay, and two business days to cancel.

Mississauga-specific things to know

  • Shift work and overtime. If overtime pay is uneven, base the loan on your regular pay, not your best week. Ontario lenders must use your net pay to set the limit.
  • Region of Peel services. Many social programs here are run by the Region, not the City, so check Peel’s website too.
