Our Task Advisory Team

Carrie Parsons

Volunteer Lead

I retired from my position with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in the spring of 2018 after 34+ years. I knew I would need something to keep myself busy and fortunately for me, Jessica's House Hospice was preparing to open! I didn't know anything about Hospice Palliative Care, but I did know this would be the perfect way for me to give back to the community, while at the same time honoring Jessica, a childhood friend of our daughter. I haven't looked back. In the fall of that year, I accepted a team lead role on the Operations Committee, with a responsibility for volunteer recruitment, training and recognition. My involvement with Jessica's House Hospice is so rewarding and I am very proud to be part of such a great team. My heart is warmed each and every time I walk through the doors!

George Keller

Maintenance Lead

Hello. My name is George Keller. Growing up in a large family in Huron County has taught me to appreciate how important it is to work together to accomplish anything that you may put your mind to. My experience over the span of my work career included Operations Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager for three Agricultural Companies. It gave me the opportunity to travel throughout Canada, the United States and Europe meeting many interesting people. My wife, Elaine and I raised 4 children and now have 11 beautiful grandchildren. I have taught my children to appreciate a small town and the benefits of giving back to the community. I am proud to share that they are involved in organizations and committees in both Exeter and Stratford to ensure that the small town benefits survive for their children and grandchildren. My work at Jessica’s House Hospice has brought the same family experience. I appreciate the many volunteers, suppliers, companies and each individual who have come to our aid when needed. Jessica’s House Hospice cannot operate without our community family.

Brent Caslick

Finance Lead

My name is Brent Caslick and I'm the volunteer Treasurer for Jessica's House Hospice. I joined the Volunteer Team in June 2020, as the Treasurer responsible for all accounting entries, preparation of the Internal Financial Statements and the filing and payment of all Government taxes and or levies. I work closely with two talented individuals who are responsible for the entry of all the donations received into the NonProfit Software Platform we use to manage and print the charitable receipts. I am a retired accountant who previously worked forty years with a local business. I am also a volunteer director for another NonProfit organization along with being the treasurer for my Church. I enjoy travelling, reading, gardening and visiting friends and family. I am enjoying my time working with the other volunteers and staff serving the needs of our community.
